In recent years, Anita Gratzer, who draws her origins from traditional photography, has worked mainly in Asia, Finland and Switzerland. Her art made from antique books and other historical paper materials is influenced by her second home in Japan. There, she discovers a poetic grace in her portable objects, which in their beauty and fragility become often mobile sanctuaries and prostheses of the intellect.
