Nature | Schloss Museum Linz

2009 | My first permanent exhibition as general planner for the Upper Austria State Museum. The planning of the exhibition took place during the construction of the new museum, as the wing of the building that burnt down in 1800 was to be rebuilt. The job was the design and supervision of the presentation on 1400 m2, under the scientific direction of museum curator Stefan Weigl. My main idea was to show the province of Upper Austria by means of a cross-section through the four regional landscapes. The taxidermy is a highlight of the exhibition, but the megadolon shark was a challenge in itself. Bringing it into the building as well as the two aquariums was an absolute novelty for the museum. With my company I was responsible for coordinating the special commissions, media content, interactions and site management.

The director of the museum at the time, Peter Assmann, had great confidence in my abilities when he put me in charge of the more than two million euros. The project of both exhibitions took about three years of my career.
