2012 Exhibition Design

Presenting >El Greco – Annunciation< was the artistic highlight of the year. In collaboration with the Museum of Fine Arts in Budapest, it was my task to show the cultural interests of the Austrian Emperor Rudolf II in the exhibition >The Emperor’s City of Culture 1600<.

The second show was about Science History called >White mice and Mendel’s heirs<. Besides showing the achievements of famous scientists, there was also a working DNA laboratory for visitors to do genetic tests on their ancestry.

Finally the exhibition about the history of monastery life in Upper Austria, also in the Schlossmuseum-Linz was to be designed and narrated. Most prestigious piece to show was the Tassilo Chalice (GermanTassilokelchLatinCalix Tassilonis), a bronze chalice, gilded with silver and gold, dating from the 8th century AD. Actually we had to present one of the four official copies, as the original is treasured in the Kremsmünster Abbey.
