Exhibition :: BAUHAUS on the Beach – For some time I am studying the historical elements of the Triadic Ballet by Bauhaus teacher Oskar Schlemmer. In Niigata I produced costumes, which picked up his original ideas and principles of the corresponding relationship between figure and space. They were transformed through my experience with Niigata’s craft and cultural elements. This body elements, made from century old paper, silk and hemp were used for a performance and photo-shooting on a beach in Niigata.

Inspired by the location and the reused materials the artwork will refer to ecological awareness. The performance will be carried out by local people and the artist Motoe Kawashima, filmed by Manu Shile (both Gunma).
