An avant-garde performance piece inspired by Oskar Schlemmer’s Bauhaus Stangentanz. The work replaces Schlemmer’s traditional geometric poles with long, linear banners constructed from antique Japanese washi paper covered in classical script. Secured to the dancer’s limbs with red binding cords, these paper extensions amplify every gesture, transforming the body into a living coordinate system. Placed on a desolate beach, the performance creates a powerful visual tension between the strict, geometric choreography of the Weimar avant-garde and the untamed natural elements of the Japanese coastline.
